Looking After Your Artificial Lawn
Artificial grass is low maintenance, not no maintenance. With the local nature reserves and plenty of mature trees around Woodley, leaves are the main job in autumn.
- Leaves: rake or blow them into a pile; a garden vacuum works well because there's no soil or gravel to pick up
- Pets: pick up mess as normal, then rinse the area with a hose or watering can
- Flattened areas: brush against the pile to lift it, especially where furniture has stood
- Weeds: the membrane stops them growing through; the odd seedling at the edges pulls out easily

What is the starting price for artificial grass in Woodley?

Will a trampoline or paddling pool damage it?
No. Trampolines, goalposts and paddling pools can all stand on artificial grass. Move them now and then and give the area a brush to lift the pile.
How do I clear autumn leaves?
A plastic rake, a stiff brush or a leaf blower all work well. Unlike a real lawn, there are no stones or loose soil to get sucked up, so a garden vacuum is easy to use.
Can you put a soft surface under a climbing frame?
Yes. We fit a foam or rubber shock pad under the grass in play areas to cushion falls. It's the same build-up we use for nurseries and schools.
Is it hot to walk on in summer?
Artificial grass does get warmer than real grass in strong sun. Our grasses have a UV-protective coating that also helps keep them cooler, and a quick spray with a hose cools the surface down.
